POSITION SUMMARY
As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for completing/facilitating all financial activities of the site. This requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to our leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial analyses to ensure the accuracy and integrity of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support the processing and oversight of multi-entity accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate coding, proper approvals, and timely vendor payments.
- Partner with the corporate accounting team on general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and assist with revenue cycle and census reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of reported data.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and strengthen financial reporting processes.
- Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally, particularly with revenue cycle teams to research and resolve claim discrepancies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, interpret data, and prepare meaningful financial and operational reports.
- Proficient organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team structure.
- High level of professionalism with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of general accounting principles, including general ledger activity, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Healthcare accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with in-network and out-of-network insurance billing and behavioral health operations is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and all Microsoft Office applications. Experience with RAMP, Zelis, or similar financial and payment platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to shifting deadlines and business needs.

Hybrid (In-office and remote), Monday – Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay range: $60k–$80k/year
