Position Description: Purpose
A Facilities Maintenance position with TRC involves performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections on building systems and structures to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance. Responsibilities include fixing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues, coordinating with contractors, maintaining cleanliness, and documenting maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulations.

Essential Functions*
Repairs & Maintenance:
Perform routine and emergency repairs on building systems such as electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
Inspections & Troubleshooting:
Conduct regular inspections of the facility and its equipment to identify potential issues or safety hazards and diagnose problems as they arise.
Preventative Maintenance:
Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks on equipment and systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal operation.
Coordination:
Work with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or tasks that are outside the scope of the in-house team.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate logs and records of all maintenance work performed, including service requests, equipment status, and maintenance activities.
Facility Upkeep:
Ensure the overall cleanliness, safety, and organization of interior and exterior spaces, including tasks like painting, cleaning, snow removal, and minor repairs to walls, floors, and furniture.

Qualifications
High school diploma is required
Previous experience preferred
Valid drivers license
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, construction, heavy equipment, machine tool operation, and fabrication
Basic knowledge of safe and proper tool and equipment use
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and structural issues
Effectively communicate with building occupants, management, and contractors regarding maintenance and repairs

Working conditions
May be exposed to temperatures under 0 degrees and above 95 degrees
May be exposed to inclement weather
May be exposed to hazardous chemical, such as gas, oil, and paint

Physical requirements
Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds
Capable of positioning ones self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positions
Ability to enter work times into a computer
