About this position

Job Summary:

The Warehouse, Shipping, & Receiving Coordinator plans and executes the daily warehouse activities, ensuring accurate and efficient shipment, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role also counts inventory and ensures inventory accuracy, supports production needs, and ensures compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.  

  

Warehouse Operations

  • Organizes, maintains, and improves warehouse layout to optimize workflows, space utilization, and accuracy.
  • Picks, packs, labels, and stages materials and finished goods for shipment.
  • Supports production by moving inventory, raw materials, and supplies as needed.
  • Conducts  cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Maintains  cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards within the warehouse and loading docks.

Inventory Control

  • Tracks  inventory levels and reports low/obsolete stock or variances to Production.
  • Ensures  all raw/work-in-process/finished/quality-hold materials are properly labeled, stored, and rotated per company policy and processes.
  • Updates  Great Plains to ensure real-time accuracy of item locations and quantities.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Coordinates  all inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling carriers andpreparing required documentation (BOLs, COAs, packing lists, shipping labels, etc.).
  • Inspects  and verifies incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Ensures accurate and timely entry of receiving and shipping information into Great  Plains.
  • Communicates  discrepancies, damages, or shortages to Accounting & Finance.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follows  all safety procedures, including forklift operation guidelines, PPE requirements, and proper material handling.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory  standards (e.g., food safety, GMPs, OSHA compliance)
  • Reports hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Salary Information

$25 - $25 Hourly Wage

Requirements

Education

  • Required - High School Diploma or GED
  • Desired - Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, shipping, or receiving experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food processing, distribution, or similar environments preferred.
  • Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Excel, ERP systems, shipping platforms).
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Able and willing to work in varying inside and outside temperature environments
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
  • Warehouse/production facility environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • May require occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday work depending on shipping schedules.
