About this position

The role of the Medical assistant/Ophthalmic Technician is to work collaboratively with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced, and complex manual and automated medical tests to allow for proper medical diagnosis.


This position is full-time Monday - Friday. No weekends or no late evening shifts.  


Medical Assistant Responsibilities will include and not limited to:

Assists patients to exam room, interviews and verifies patient information. Input reason for patient visit, records patient medical history, medications, and diagnosis in EHR. Prepares patient and treatment rooms, accordingly, administers eye drops, takes patient’s vision, assists physician within office procedures and perform visual field testing. Candidate would counsel patients on treatment plans and surgery indications.


Requirements

1-2 years in a Healthcare setting working directly with patients.

Preferred experience in all areas of ophthalmic patient care.

Medical Assistant and experience will be considered for someone looking to learn a new field.
