Position Summary

The HR Specialist will have primary responsibility for the payroll and recruiting functions and will assist with all other HR functions as directed by the HR Manager.  The HR Specialist promotes a Team-oriented, high performance workplace that emphasizes integrity, respect, communication and excellence. 

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain  policies and procedures

  • Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety OHSAS 45001 policies and procedures

EHS:

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures

Technical:

  • Develop recruiting sources that provide sufficient quantity and superior quality candidates.
  • Develop Behavioral interview questions that are specific to each position.
  • Interview candidates and complete evaluations.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of a comprehensive Team Member orientation program.
  • Conduct background checks on candidates
  • Track applicants, maintain data and complete reports pertaining to the hiring process.
  • Complete payroll submissions timely and accurately.
  • Assist supervisors with the payroll process.
  • Resolve payroll questions and issues promptly

    1. Development of job descriptions
    2. HR recordkeeping and compliance
    3. Communications to Team Members
    4. Team Member performance management
    5. Team Member benefits programs
    6. Team Member training & development
  2. Assists with coordination of outside vendors

Education

  • High School/GED (required)
  • College Degree ( preferred)

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

Physical demands also at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires pushing and pulling of carts.  Work environment is climate controlled in most areas. May be required to sit for long periods, type on a keyboard, speak by phone, move throughout a manufacturing plant environment and listen to Team Members and applicants.  The work environment is primarily a temperature controlled office.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • General knowledge of employment law and practices
  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • A positive team attitude
  • Bilingual in Korean 

Software Skills Required

  • Basic knowledge of MS Word/Excel
  • Basic understanding of windows explore file storage and retrieval
