Position Overview

The AAA Fire Protection Inc. ITS Technician role services, inspects, tests, maintains, and repairs all fire safety systems for customers in accordance with current manufacturers' recommendations, NFPA standards and regulations, and current jurisdictional code. Operation of a company vehicle and invoicing of appointments is required using company (and when applicable jurisdictional) provided software platforms. Responsible for maintaining a professional, productive, and safe work environment. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform required scheduled & reoccurring testing, inspection and maintenance related to all fire protection systems in accordance with manufacture and jurisdictional requirements and recommendations. 
  • Provide clear education, guidance, the local fire code requirements, to customers regarding services, systems, apparatus, for which you are licensed, in accordance with Company expectations. 
  • Monitor and maintain proper working order of company tools and equipment. 
  • Serve as the customers primary contact for information and service needs. 
  • Perform site surveys to educate customers of required related fire protection equipment.
  • Maintain an understanding of product capabilities, warranties, and usages to educate and serve customers.
  • Responsible for notifying direct supervisor of any equipment issues or any unsafe working conditions.
  • Responsible for recording time in the company provided time and attendance software.
  • Responsible for maintaining all job and customer related notes, deficiencies, invoices, and compliance test reports in company provided software (or as required compliance test reports through third party jurisdictional platforms) using AAA furnished hardware.
  • Responsible for complying and enforcing safety requirements while on company property, driving company vehicle and at customer’s site.
  • Participation is required for the on-call after hours technician rotational schedule for unscheduled emergency customer service needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Salary Range $45-$60 per hour 
Requirements:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, plus the ability to multi-task and work in a fast- paced team environment 
  • Exhibits attention to detail with high standards for accuracy and follow through.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with iOS Apple hardware and operating systems and software. 
  • Hold and maintains applicable distributor manufacture and jurisdictional certifications including but not limited to AS-1 (or equivalent), FA-1 (or equivalent), NICET II Water-Based System Testing, Minimum 2,000 hours towards Electrical Journeyman (01,02 or 06). 
  • Ability to work overtime and or outside standard business hours and or weekends as needed to accommodate customer needs. 
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.
  • This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to post accident, reasonable suspicion or contract required drug testing.
