Description:
Purpose of Position: The Boathouse Attendant engages with the visiting public to promote the Boathouse offerings and provides a positive interaction with visitors who want to use the Boathouse Livery fleet. The Attendant talks with visitors and instructs or aids them on safe and proper use of the vessels.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares the fleet for visitor use, and secures it for the evening
- Handle livery boats as they come and go from the docks
- Interacts with the public to promote Boathouse offerings and ensure a safe and fun experience on the water.
- Willingness to work with a supervisor and abide by all training and protocols
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old by June 18th, 2026
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact with a wide range of constituents, including visitors ranging from those new to the maritime experience to well-seasoned lifetime Museum Members.
- Show leadership skills to respectfully guide the Boathouse volunteers and Junior volunteers.
- Experience with small traditional craft is preferred but not required.

Hourly Wage
