Job Summary: 

 

The Clinical Manager supports AFG’s mission and is responsible for managing and supporting the delivery of shelter/TIL case management service to participants. 

  

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Ensure case planners engage and deliver treatment services to participants that support goal attainment (independence, safe/stable housing, education, employment, mental health, etc.)
  • Foster community partnerships and attend community activities that support AFG’smission.
  • Provide managerial oversight of program outcomes, service delivery, staff/intern development, and budget and expenditures.
  • Screen, assess and process referrals for intake into the shelter program. Assign referrals for intake. Conduct intakes as a case planner team member.
  • Audit completed Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) documentation.
  • Review new participant case file docs, as well as ongoing case documentation and reports.
  • Facilitate training on role specific tasks for team members. Complete staff evaluations.
  • Oversee BSW/MSW interns. Facilitate training, assign tasks, supervise, complete university-required docs, attend field advisor trainings and participate in faculty advisor site-visits.
  • Facilitate weekly case conference with shelter/TIL team. Prepare agenda,disseminate policy and procedure updates, and ensure quality service delivery by the team.
  • Support Shelter Manager, RA team and shelter operations. Provide crisis management with shelter participants, as needed (e.g., de-escalation, suicide issues and emotional issues).
  • Document and reconcile team debit card purchases following Finance Department guidelines.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings,nights and weekends

 

Acquired Knowledge: 

 

  • Requires a master’s degree in social work,counseling, psychology, sociology or criminal justiceand5-7years of experience in a licensed, residential youth care setting, including 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • LMSW is required.
  • Experience working with youth who are juvenile offenders, homeless or involved in high-risk activities, such as: gangs, violence, drugs, truancy, sexual activity is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with residents, families and staff involved in developing,implementing and reviewing service plans for the residents is also strongly preferred
