Position Overview:

We are seeking a Market Area Controller to serve as the financial leader for a defined regional market within a growing, privately held services organization. This role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, operational analysis, and team leadership while acting as a strategic business partner to operations leadership to improve efficiency and profitability.

● Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls

  • Deliver variance analysis, KPIs, and actionable financial insights

  • Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with operations

  • Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions

  • Analyze revenue trends, cost drivers, and operational initiatives to improve margins

  • Support audits and implement process improvements

  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff

  • Serve as key financial partner to operations, sales, and compliance teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • 8–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience

  • CPA preferred

  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis expertise

  • Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams

  • Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leaders
