The Director of Commercial & Builder Sales will be responsible for driving growth in Photon Brothers' commercial solar and new construction builder markets throughout Colorado. This individual will develop relationships with commercial property owners, developers, and homebuilders while generating and closing solar installation opportunities.

This role is responsible for developing the pipeline, managing relationships, and closing projects in both commercial and builder segments.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Solar Sales

  • Identify and pursue commercial solar opportunities across Colorado
  • Develop relationships with business owners, developers, and property managers
  • Conduct site evaluations and present solar proposals
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract execution
  • Generate both company-provided and self-generated commercial opportunities

Builder & New Construction Partnerships

  • Build relationships with homebuilders and residential developers
  • Establish Photon Brothers as a preferred solar provider for new construction communities
  • Coordinate with builders on solar design integration and installation timelines
  • Maintain builder relationships for long-term partnership opportunities

Pipeline Development

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of commercial and builder projects
  • Network with industry partners including general contractors, developers, and real estate professionals
  • Attend industry events and represent Photon Brothers in the commercial solar market

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure project feasibility
  • Ensure accurate scope, pricing, and expectations before contracts are executed
  • Provide market feedback to leadership regarding commercial and builder opportunities

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of sales experience in solar, construction, energy, or related industries; 3 years required of commercial solar sales
  • Experience developing new business relationships and partnerships
  • Ability to manage longer commercial sales cycles
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of solar or construction industry required



This position is an hourly base ($28-$34 per hour) plus commission position, with OTE expected between $150k-$250k for a fully ramped representative. All full time positions are eligible to enroll in Photon Brothers' health, dental, and vision insurance, has company-sponsored life insurance, as well as company-sponsored telehealth.
