Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of machinery or large areas when required
- Maintain cleanliness in both commercial and residential environments, ensuring all spaces meet health and safety standards
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting issues that require specialized attention
- Support custodial operations by restocking supplies, emptying trash receptacles, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures
- Skilled in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing surfaces
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning methods
- Ability to perform residential painting or minor maintenance tasks as needed
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance operations and porter responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
