About the Role K2 Claims Services, LLC ("K2 Claims") is actively seeking a motivated Subrogation Examiner with multi-line experience handling recovery efforts for commercial auto, homeowners, liability, and inland marine claims. As a third-party administrator (TPA), K2 Claims services specialty programs across property, general liability, auto, professional liability, and workers’ compensation. Key Responsibilities

  • Recovery Management: Proactively identify and pursue subrogation recovery opportunities across commercial auto, homeowners, liability, and inland marine lines.
  • Investigation: Verify facts of loss by obtaining statements, analyzing documents, and evaluating forensic evidence to establish third-party liability.
  • Diverse Caseload: Manage a broad spectrum of recovery files ranging from low-exposure auto collisions to complex inland marine and homeowners property losses.
  • Litigation Management: Oversee subrogation litigation, including referring files to recovery counsel, establishing legal budgets, and providing settlement authority.
  • Coverage & Liability Analysis: Analyze policy language and risk transfer options to determine insurance priority and maximize recovery potential.
  • Large Loss Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and clients regarding recovery status, realized savings, and strategic action plans.
  • Negotiation: Effectively negotiate settlements with adverse carriers and third parties within assigned authority.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years of multi-line subrogation or liability experience is ideal, with a minimum requirement of 5+ years in commercial auto, homeowners, and liability claims.
  • Industry Background: Previous experience in a TPA or insurance carrier environment handling diverse programs.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in handling inland marine and commercial property recovery is highly preferred.
  • Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses; a California adjuster’s license is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a dedicated focus on negotiation and customer service.
  • Travel: Must be flexible for occasional business travel for training, mediations, and/or trials.

Pay Range: $75,000-$90,000 USD/Pear year
