Sr. Technical Project Manager
A Technical Project Manager (TPM) plans, coordinates, directs, and oversees numerous high-impact software projects across the organization. This position reports to the CTO.

- Maintain resource and timeline planning across a portfolio of projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute on projects to satisfy requirements for scope, quality, risk, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with business and technical stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, Product Owners, Design, Development, QA, and Customer Support, to manage expectations and communicate updates.
- Determine the critical path for project deliverables and coordinate cross-team efforts to complete projects as efficiently as possible.
- Take an active role in identifying blockers and coordinate efforts to resolve them expeditiously.
- Prioritize projects/tasks in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Product Owners, and clearly communicate priorities to technical teams.
- Analyze and communicate the impact of project additions/changes in relation to timelines, risks, and resource availability. Provide options to inform business decisions.
- Actively manage and communicate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Schedule, plan, and facilitate project meetings. Communicate key decisions and action items.
- Provide weekly project reports to business and technical stakeholders.
- Utilize Jira and other tools to provide visibility into planned and ongoing work.
- Track project milestones and tasks through all stages to ensure efficient execution.
- Take a proactive role in promoting and enforcing effective project management practices.
- Work with technical teams to estimate story points. Monitor developer velocity and make adjustments as needed to course correct.
- Apply the appropriate project management methodology - Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, etc. - to meet project needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for communications with integration partners.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing software development projects.
- 3+ years of experience working with Senior Leadership and/or Product Owners to create realistic plans for short- and long-term product goals.
- Proven leadership skills with experience leading/guiding teams.
- Proven ability to resolve conflict in team and one-on-one situations.
- Ability to balance business and technical objectives when making decisions.
- Ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and understand where/how that system fits in the bigger picture of an organization.
- Exceptional communication, problem solving, and analytical skills is a must.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude.
Pluses:
- Hands-on software development experience.
- PMP certification or similar.
- Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence), to include usage and administration.
- Working experience with multiple software project management methodologies - Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.
