Location: Northwest Tucson / Bonita–Avra Valley, AZ 

  

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

  • Supervise daily operations of a labor crew within an active production site
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, and crushers (as applicable)
  • Oversee blasting activities when applicable, in accordance with established procedures and safety standards
  • Achieve production quotas for blasted and processed material, with support available for complex adjustments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area

Crew Leadership & Development

  • Assign daily tasks and ensure crew members understand work procedures
  • Train new employees on operational tasks, safety protocols, and equipment use
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and open communication

Quality Control

  • Ensure material meets size and specification requirements
  • Perform routine quality inspections
  • Identify and report quality issues or deviations to site leadership

Safety

  • Enforce all site safety rules and procedures
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Respond to safety incidents in accordance with established procedures and escalate complex situations as needed

Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate daily production progress, safety concerns, and operational needs
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
  • Complete required daily and weekly production and safety documentation

Additional Duties

  • Perform hands-on labor alongside crew members when necessary
  • Assist with maintaining accurate production and equipment records
  • Actively develop supervisory, leadership, and operational skills
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in mining, aggregates, construction, or heavy industrial operations
  • Experience supervising or leading crews in a production environment
  • Working knowledge of heavy equipment operations and site safety practices
  • Ability to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Developing leadership and personnel management skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify issues and escalate complex situations appropriately
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required
  • Familiarity with quality control standards for aggregate or industrial materials
  • Prior experience completing production and safety reports


Salary Information

$70000.00 - $95000.00 Annual Salary
