What You'll Do

Build lakehouse pipelines in PySpark notebooks-

1. Write reusable functions that ingest REST/SQL/CSV feed
2. Model Bronze-> Silver -> Gold tables in Delta Lake
3. Handle schema drift, CDC, and idempotent upserts

Own code-first ETL in Microsoft Fabric

1. Develop Dataflows Gen2 & Spark notebooks, not drag-and-drop SSIS
2. Package pipelines with Azure DevOps CICD & IaC (YAML/Bicep_

Harden security & governance

1. Mirror ERP role perms via RLS/CLS
2. Enforce naming/cost guard-rails; automate lineage & documentation

Enable analytics + AI

1. Expose Gold view to PowerBI and upcoming Copilot/ML wokloads
2. Optimize for cost/performance (partitions, Z-Order, cache)

Iterate like a startup

1. Ship small, gather feedback, refactor-two steps forward, one back
2. Participate in code reviews, lunch-and-learns, and design spikes

Tech You'll Touch Every Day

1. Python 3 / PySpark 3.5 in Fabric notebooks
2. Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Warehouse, Pipelines)
3. Delta Lake / Medallion Architecture
4. Azure DevOps (Git repos, CI/CD YAML, work items)
5. REST / GraphQL APIs, SQL (T-SQL or Spark SQL), Parquet
6. Power BI (consumer focus), React portal in early design
