Functional DescriptionThe Electronics Repair Technician position is critical to our core competence in repairing medical device electronics. Repairing, replacing, and reworking electronics on PCBAs to the component level is the mainstay of the position followed by simplistic testing to validate the work and restore the functionality of the electronic device. Some examples of electronic components that this position will diagnose, and rework include coaxial wires, transistors, capacitors, ICs, and BGAs. Sophisticated diagnostic tools help accelerate identifying faulty circuits and components. This position will be supported by management and senior peers with extensive knowledge to make a candidate with a great ability to learn highly successful.Scope of OutcomesThe core responsibilities for this position include:Diagnose PCBA electronic faults to the component levelAssemble and rework electronic assemblies and componentsPerform precision microscope workExamine component parts for defectsParticipate in industry leading Quality Management SystemUse of web interface system to track tasks and accomplishmentsQualificationsRequired qualifications include: Proficient with Digital Multimeters High degree of hand-eye coordination and finger dexterityExcellent attention to detailTechnical ability to read and follow work instructionsAbility to work independently and in a team atmosphere Ability and willingness to learn and improvePreferred qualifications include: Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, LCR Meters, and similar equipment Environmental and Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 75 poundsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to travel, both domestically and internationally, for extended periods of timeDexterous ability to manipulate small objectsWilling to work standard and non-standard hours as required to support the customers
