Location Requirement (Must Meet One or More):

  • Bronx, Queens, or Long Island (Plainview, Coram and/or West Babylon)
  • Home-Based ABA

Availability Required (Non-Negotiable):

  • 15–30 hours per week 
  • Monday–Friday after-school hours (3/4 PM–7/8 PM), Weekends Optional/Open
  • Passionate about working with children and committed to consistency

Role OverviewAs a Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician at Strive High ABA, you will provide in-home and community-based ABA services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will play a vital role in helping children build essential life skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and reach meaningful goals through structured, compassionate intervention.
Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs
  • Provide direct 1:1 support to children in home and community settings
  • Collect accurate behavioral data and complete daily session notes
  • Support skill development, behavior reduction, and social engagement
  • Follow behavior plans, crisis protocols, and clinical guidance
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with clients and families
  • Attend all scheduled sessions and follow attendance policies
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training
  • Comply with BACB ethical standards, HIPAA, and company policies
  • Complete all documentation, administrative, and billing tasks on time

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and/or individuals with developmental or behavioral needs (preferred)
  • Strong communication, observational, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of reliability, professionalism, and accountability
  • Willingness to receive feedback and grow professionally
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations
  • Reliable mobile device for in-session data collection
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance or reliable access to public transportation
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to sit for periods of up to 2-4 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, stand, and move for extended periods
  • Ability to adjust energy levels to meet each client’s needs
