Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh, a place to learn, a place to grow and a place to belong. BGCLC is looking for an energetic, fun-loving, adaptable youth-focused individual to help foster a fun, safe, and positive before and after school experience. 
 

The Youth Support Professional provides emotional regulation and behavioral health support for children and families to promote success in the Club, school, home, and community. The Youth Support Professional will be an active member of the local Club staff team and serve as a trauma-informed and collaborative leader throughout Larimer County. 


As a Youth Support Professional you will: 

  • Integrate a trauma-informed lens to provide individualized or group support/interventions to youth
  • Maintain close professional contact with all Club stakeholders
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours
  • Work with youth in collaborative goal setting and prioritize the youths needs
  • Remain in ratio at assigned Club sites to ensure safety of members, when needed
  • Communicate youth outcomes/needs 
  • Assist with classroom management
  • Consistent engagement with youth during Club hours
  • Regular outcome reporting to supervisor
  • Adhere to all Boys & Girls Club’s standard safety policies and procedures
  • Help maintain facilities and equipment to ensure a productive and clean work  environment
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements:

 Education and Work Experience Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in behavior intervention, youth development, and/or small group facilitation, preferred.
  • Must have at least three 3 months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four 4 or more children over the ages of four 4 (not related to the individual). 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships with BGCLC staff, Board Members, volunteers, community groups, and other related agencies.
  • Proficient user of MS Office, Google Suite, and other databases.
  • Punctual, strong relationship building, flexibility

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Trauma-Informed approach  

The Youth Support Professional is a part-time, non-exempt position with hourly wage of $17.50.
