Description:
GRINDER OPERATOR
Schedule: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Days: Monday–Thursday
Overtime: Fridays & Saturdays as needed
REQUIRED – Manufacturing / Foundry
- At least 1 year of grinding experience in a manufacturing or foundry setting
Role Summary
Grind and chip metal castings to remove excess material and defects while meeting quality and safety standards in a manufacturing/foundry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Grind and chip castings using pneumatic and pedestal grinders
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, cracks, and excess metal
- Inspect parts for defects and quality standards
- Operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts safely
- Position and move parts manually or with cranes
- Perform daily safety and equipment checks
- Communicate with production and material handling teams
- Lift and move parts up to 100 lbs (team lift as needed)
Physical & Work Requirements
- Stand and use hands throughout shift
- Frequently reach, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in a manufacturing/foundry environment with noise and heavy equipment
