This position reports directly to the Pattern Maker.


SUPERVISION EXERCISED


This position does not directly supervise others. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  • Use various tools and equipment to perform body repair on patterns for molds

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • Ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints
  • Ability to operate Pattern Shop equipment to repair patterns (bandsaw, table saw, various sanders, hand tools, etc.)
  • Ability to use different fillers to repair patterns from defects or damage
  • Ability to work alone or as a team

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

  • Steel toe boots
  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment
  • Must be able to work in various temperatures based on outside weather conditions

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Foundry environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
