About this position
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our clinical team in meeting program requirements outlined in the applicable program manuals and related policy guidance. This role provides clinical oversight, policy interpretation, compliance support, and operational guidance to ensure high-quality service delivery within a federal healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be clinically strong and detail-oriented; comfortable navigating policy and regulatory language; able to bridge clinical operations with compliance requirements; collaborative and able to support multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a SME supporting clinical programs, including autism and case management operations and compliance requirements
- Interpret and apply guidance outlined in program manuals
- Provide clinical consultation to the internal clinical team
- Support quality assurance, documentation review, and compliance monitoring
- Support the development of clinical workflows aligned with policy and contractual requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure program adherence to federal healthcare standards
- Identify gaps in compliance and recommend corrective actions
- Support audits, reporting, and program reviews as needed
- Provide education and guidance to clinical staff regarding policy updates and implementation
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 10+ years of clinical experience
- Experience in autism services, behavioral health, or ABA-related programs, etc
- Experience interpreting clinical policy and operational manuals
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and quality standards
- Ability to translate regulatory language into practical clinical workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within federal healthcare contracts
- Knowledge of Autism services policy frameworks
- Previous experience supporting audits or compliance reviewse
Work Schedule
Consistent, full-time work expected Monday – Friday, eight hours per day in a focused and fast-paced environment.
