We are an elite oral surgery practice that is committed to exceptional care for our patients and first-class service to our referring doctors. Previous oral surgery experience is a plus but not required. Previous medical and/or dental billing experience is required. 

The role of the Treatment Coordinator is critical in providing exceptional patient care resulting in the best clinical outcomes and meeting the needs of our patients. 

The main focus for the Treatment Coordinators is ensuring that each patient visit is a well-executed appointment, where the patient arrives with full understanding of the process, proceeds smoothly through their interactions with the team and leaves prepared for payment and follow-up steps. The expectation is to provide an ideal patient experience, which begins when the patient calls for an appointment.

As a Treatment Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting the patients with their financial treatment plans.  Researching their insurance plans and providing them with accurate estimates prior to their appointments.  

Role and ResponsibilitiesHave awareness of the days schedule and make sure amounts are collected prior to the appointments or communicated to the front staff what needs to be collected after the appointment.Communicate with the appointed patients on what their insurance coverage is and provide them with a written estimate 24-48 hours after the appointment is scheduled.Meet with patients after consultations to go over the treatment plan and the insurances. Provide them with a written estimate for services within 24-48 hours after consult.Schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.Appointing patients according to the priorities identified in the scheduling templatesAnalyze, calculate and prepare pre-treatment estimates and financial letters.Post Charges, payments, and denials. Enter patient demographics.Process Medicaid HMO claims and pre-authorizations for MA.File insurance claims for theHMO’s.Provide customer service for those calling into the billing line.All other duties as assignedMaintains confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA.Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience
    Highschool diploma or equivalent required.One year of customer service experience required.Medical or dental experience required. 
 Skills and Abilities
    Understanding of dental terminology.Friendly, inviting, and professional personality and presence.Basic office skills such as typing and filing.Good organizational skills.Attention to detail.Leadership and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills.Ability to work cross functionally with other team members.
