Job Description
JFL Consulting, LLC is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support mission-critical enterprise Linux environments in the Washington, DC area.
This role is centered on secure system administration, lifecycle management, and automation within highly regulated environments. You will support upgrades, patching, configuration management, security hardening, and performance optimization across enterprise Linux platforms.

Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise Linux systems (RHEL and derivatives).
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening.
- Manage configuration baselines and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Troubleshoot system issues and support performance tuning efforts.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Bash and/or Python.
- Support Linux systems in virtualized environments (VMware).
- Participate in system documentation, standards development, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to support overall mission objectives.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Security+, CASP+, or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III certification.
- 5+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with RHEL and related distributions.
- Proficiency in Linux CLI and shell scripting.
- Experience in virtualized server environments (VMware preferred).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Experience supporting secure or regulated environments (DoD/IC preferred).
