In this role you will be overseeing all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring safety and high equipment uptime. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of skilled maintenance technicians, providing guidance and troubleshooting expertise for plant equipment and machines, which may include PLCs, VFDs, Servos, and HMIs. This hands-on position requires direct involvement in repairs and installations, as well as effective coordination with the maintenance workforce.Key Responsibilities:
- Direct maintenance workforce on a day-to-day basisMaintenance Supervisor provides direction, oversees all assignments allocated to the maintenance techniciansReview planning and scheduling with the maintenance managerAudits and ensures the quality of work performed by the maintenance techniciansEffectively conveys and schedules maintenance activities with operationsAble to evaluate the qualifications of the maintenance technicians and recommend training/development as neededReplace and maintain inventory of spare parts and suppliesDiligent in identifying corrective actions for techniciansMaintenance Supervisor manages technician’s schedules and timecards Supervise the preventative maintenance program on various pieces of manufacturing equipmentMinimize equipment downtime through corrective and preventative maintenanceCapability to lead and assist with capital improvement projects throughout the facilityOversee installation and electrical set-up of new or moved machinerySupervise and/or assist with mechanical repairs throughout the facility and on machines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Analysis of equipment problems, identify root causes of equipment problems, project management skills, technical reading, supervision skillsThe ability to lead and direct continuous improvement concepts Clear written and verbal communications,Computer skills (Word, Excel, charts)Knowledge/Experience with of PLCs, digital and analog sensorsExperience troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systemsStrong written and oral communication skills and can work as a collaboratorExperience with servo motors, encoders, pumps, gearboxes, steam, and ammonia
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institutionMinimum 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experienceMinimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experienceBlow molding experience is also a plusAmmonia and boiler systems experience is a plusUnion experience is a plusFood facility experience is a plus
