American Legal Publishing provides robust and reliable codes solutions to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency, boosting transparency and efficiency with a flexible online code experience.


Position Summary: American Legal Publishing is seeking an energetic, professional individual to join our fast-paced team serving a nationwide, government-focused client base. We provide ordinance publication (codification) services to more than 3,500 local governments across the U.S., including major cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas. In this role, you will communicate directly with city clerks, city attorneys, mayors, and other municipal officials.


Our office is located in downtown Cincinnati, where a team of approximately 50 dedicated employees supports our mission.


Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate closely with an experienced team
  • Communicate with clients through email, letters, and phone interactions
  • Use an electronic CRM database to track client communications and project status
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of our business operations and work with all internal departments
  • Manage client requests and work orders with accuracy and professionalism
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Salary Information

$42000 - $44000 Annual Salary

Requirements

Essential Skills and Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in local government, customer service, or public-facing roles is helpful but not required
  • Outgoing, with strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Highly efficient, productive, and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay focused
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk 
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching to access files or office supplies 
  • Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, documents) 
  • Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials 
  • Auditory ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone 

Environmental Conditions:

  • Indoor Office Environment
  • Must be able to work in standard office environment with artificial lighting and climate control
