ERP Functional Consultant (Epicor) - onsite

Job Summary: Responsible for the management and analysis of data within the Epicor ERP system, while also providing system administration support to ensure optimal performance and functionality. This role is crucial in providing actionable insights to senior management to support data-driven decision making across the organization.

**This position requires on-site availability 5 days per week at our Chicago area location**

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Epicor Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis using Epicor ERP, identifying trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement.

  • Create and maintain both regular and ad-hoc reports for various departments and senior management.

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate and analyze complex data sets.

  • Design and implement dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights.

    System Administration

  • Administer and maintain the Epicor ERP system, including user management, security roles, and permissions.

  • Perform routine system maintenance such as backups, updates, and patches.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.

  • Collaborate with IT to ensure seamless integration between Epicor ERP and other systems.

    Reporting and Data Manipulation

  • Utilize Epicor’s built in reporting tools and external BI platforms to create detailed, accurate reports.

  • Manipulate and clean data to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.

  • Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline data delivery and analysis processes.

    Business Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop relevant reports.

  • Analyze business processes and recommend data driven improvements.

  • Support strategic decision making by providing data backed recommendations to senior management.

    System Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to enhance Epicor ERP functionality through customizations and integrations.

  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Epicor modules to align with business needs.

  • Function as a resource with the ability to provide training & support to end users on data analysis and reporting capabilities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Epicor ERP experience with a strong focus on system integrations, data analysis and reporting

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, BI, database management and data manipulation techniques

  • Expertise in creating complex reports and dashboards using Epicor tools and external BI platforms

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI or similar tools)

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and KPIs

  • Basic understanding of network administration to support data access & security

  • Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience) 

Experience:

5 years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP required.

$110,000 - $120,000 Annual Salary
