About this position
The Machinist will be responsible for producing precision parts using a variety of manual and CNC equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with manual machining processes and basic CNC operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes, vertical mills, and surface grinders.
- Operate and program TRAK K3 EMX 2-axis CNC mills.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines.
- Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to support production needs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating and setting up:
- Manual lathes
- Manual vertical mills
- Manual surface grinders
- TRAK K3 EMX 2-axis CNC mills
- Strong blueprint reading and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- A full- or part-time position is available.
