OnPoint Medical Group is seeking an outstanding Full- Time Medical Assistant to join our team at Lone Tree Pediatrics. With primary care providers, specialists, labs, nurses, and medical records all connected through one coordinated network, our patients receive seamless care close to home.The Medical Assistant supports the provider team, including Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners, by assisting with patient care, documentation, clinical workflows, and daily clinic operations.Travel: Occasional travel between Littleton and Lone Tree, Colorado may be required
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWelcome patients and prepare them for visits by rooming patients, obtaining medical history, and verifying informationDocument a full and accurate set of vital signsAccurately and promptly update all appropriate sections of the electronic medical record, including allergies, medications, vaccines, social history, and quality measuresAssist providers during examinations and treatmentsPerform point-of-care testing within skill level, certification, and state guidelinesMaintain exam rooms and supply storage areasClean and disinfect treatment rooms after patient visitsFollow all safety standards, procedures, and legal regulationsComplete pre-visit planning in accordance with standard operating proceduresMaintain required clinic logs and checks, including refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, and other routine clinic checksCheck and address voicemails throughout the workdayManage inbox messages and electronic medical record buckets for providers, staff, and selfProvide back-up front office support as needed, including check-in, check-out, scheduling, and phone coverageMaintain professional working relationships with vendors and clinic partnersFollow HIPAA guidelines for all internal and external systemsCommunicate appropriately and professionally with patients, visitors, and team membersAttend trainings and meetings as requiredWhat Makes You a Great FitYou work well independently and as part of a teamYou are service-oriented, respectful, and compassionateYou listen actively and communicate clearlyYou maintain accurate patient records and support efficient clinic flowYou are flexible and willing to support clinic needs as they ariseMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredGraduate of an accredited healthcare program such as Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent work experience required - two years medical assistant position in pediatrics or family medicineCurrent certifications maintained per state guidelinesCurrent BLS cardStrong computer skills requiredEMR experience preferredSome Medical Assistant experience requiredPreferred QualificationsNationally recognized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred1–3 years of experience in family medicine or pediatrics preferredExperience with Athenahealth practice management system preferred
