Flow Technics is a family-oriented Midwest company based in Illinois. We have a need for a Service Manager. 


The Service Manager is responsible for the continual growth and improvement of Safety, Efficiency, Quality and Financial Performance of the IL Service Center. 


What You’ll Do

  • Demonstrates and promotes Flow Technics core values (Act with Integrity and Respect, Foster Teamwork, Focus on the Customer, Strive for Excellence and Innovation, Project Passion and Energy and Have Fun).
  • Lead the Service team of service technicians.
  • Continual performance oversight of the team. Includes oversight of safety, quality, efficiency and financial performance. 
  • Perform annual formal performance evaluations.
  • Conduct Service Team meetings to communicate expectations and build the team.
  • Continually improve shop teamwork
  • Develop and monitor customer service standards for each team member. 
  • Address conflicts and performance deficiencies
  • Approve vacation requests and expense reports
  • Provide oversight and overall control of service scheduling and job prioritization.
  • Grow the service tech team through continual growth of teams capacity, capabilities, and expertise.
  • Actively participate with training of service technicians
  • Continually pursue training opportunities for staff with OJT utilizing senior staff expertise. 
  • Interview and select new service technician candidates
  • Meet performance expectations for turn-around-time, labor and profitability on repairs and field service jobs
  • Maintain a continual service job quoting responsibility
  • Maintain a percentage of billable service work
  • Continually improve Safety aspects of Shop and field service operations.
  • Continually improve shop organization and tooling
  • Continually improve job workflow through standard operating procedures, operating systems and communication.
  • Support Service Sales opportunities including customer presentations, training, and customer visits with Account Managers
  • Perform any other duties or tasks to improve and grow any aspect of the service operation.
Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent level of education in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years equivalent experience, or a significant level of related experience in a leadership position.
  • Ability to effectively perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Experience in the field as a technician, project coordinator, and/or supervisor.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining safety programs and training.
  • Demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Considerate and respectful attitude toward both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to write clearly and informatively in normal business situations. Excellent verbal communication skills in one-on-one and telephone situations.
  • Willingness and ability to work with others and be a team player. Motivation to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000
