POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Superintendent shall ensure the day-to-day management of concurrent projects from inception to completion, serve as primary point of contact on project progress, interact with teams, communicate project material needs, supervise team personnel, ensure safety operations, and other responsibilities consistent with Transform Energy’s policy and procedures. The Construction Superintendent shall oversee all commercial project milestones through to completion, including but not limited to QA/QC.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Works under direction of the Transform Energy’s Operations Manager. As an “at will” employee, employment may be terminated at any time by the employee or employer with or without notice and with or without cause.
QUANTIFIABLE DIMENSIONS:
Provides day-to-day management of projects, sites, and teams assigned to projects, including supervision of foreman, working with key stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes consistent with established policies and procedures, recommending changes as appropriate.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS:
Frequent contact with Transform Energy team members, the Director of Operations, Operations Manager, Project Support Specialist, Chief Executive Officer, Director Human Resources, VP of Finance, and external and internal customers, project managers and vendors.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure teams are operating safely and in compliance with OSHA and Transform Energy’ssafety manual.
- Supervise teams including trainees in promoted roles, evaluations, discipline, documentation,coaching, mentoring, and training team members.
- Work with Operations on personnel requirements on sites and scheduling.
- Work with Operations to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget.
- Delegate milestones to teams weekly, ensuring they are completed on time.
- Work with Site Foreman on project material punch list to be sent to Operations.
- Daily assessment of project progress providing updates and reports to key stakeholders.
- Pre-construction walk, job preparedness assessment, and safety planning for on site logistics.
- Hold pre-construction meetings with crews including a checklist of requirements for each job.
- Train and support personnel in customers’ job requirements relating to updates, photos, etc.
- Ensure jobs are AHJ, NEC, and Greenbook compliant.
- Site visits to ensure successful implementation and completion of customers’ contract requirements.
- With approval from management, may occasionally step into a hands-on role with the team to assist in meeting deadlines.
- Train personnel in new skills, platforms or policies including refinement of a skill to be perfected.
- Schedule and assess team members for successful promotions when training is completed utilizing the sign off protocol’s worksheet.
- Timecard review and approval.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, and tools are inspected and accounted for weekly.
- Participate in Operations team meetings when requested.
- Creativity and ability to problem solve issues successfully.
- Additional duties required as needed.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- BS degree preferred.
- OSHA 30 certificate preferred; must be completed within 90-days of hiring.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Previous experience in project coordination/project management required.
- Ability to read solar blueprints and electrical drawings.
- Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities to timely completion.
- Ability to research, source and create solutions for essential function deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.•Ability to "go the extra mile".

- Frequent travel to job sites, with overnight stays.
- Must be able to successfully complete background check.
Education:
Knowledge of construction project management, solar, and solar knowledge required. Project Management Professional Certification a plus. CA Journeyman electrician card preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field a preferred.
Experience:
The individual selected must have three years of management experience including project management, and general management experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires prolonged sitting, driving, climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports. May require lifting to 75lbs if actively participating in the field.
Working Environment
Small home-based business office with moderate noise. Additionally, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. When performing duties outside the small home-based business office environment, the noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
