About this position

Description:
  • Lead and supervise front-line production team members during assigned shift.
  • Drive quality, efficiency, yield, and production targets.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members and shift leaders.
  • Manage performance, disciplinary actions, hiring, and terminations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, empowerment, and retention aligned with Epi Breads values.
  • Spend approximately 80% of time on the production floor providing hands-on leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety policies, food defense standards, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (scheduling, sales, plant leadership) to meet customer shipment deadlines.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate daily production documentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience; bakery experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience supervising production teams.
  • Strong communication skills (English required; Spanish preferred).
  • Results-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety, and safety compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel required); Adage knowledge a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of product quality, packaging specifications, and production equipment.
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and in a factory environment (heat, machinery, flour dust).
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
