About this position
Description:
- Lead and supervise front-line production team members during assigned shift.
- Drive quality, efficiency, yield, and production targets.
- Coach, train, and develop team members and shift leaders.
- Manage performance, disciplinary actions, hiring, and terminations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, empowerment, and retention aligned with Epi Breads values.
- Spend approximately 80% of time on the production floor providing hands-on leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety policies, food defense standards, and HACCP guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (scheduling, sales, plant leadership) to meet customer shipment deadlines.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate daily production documentation.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience; bakery experience preferred.
- Proven leadership experience supervising production teams.
- Strong communication skills (English required; Spanish preferred).
- Results-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety, and safety compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel required); Adage knowledge a plus.
- Strong knowledge of product quality, packaging specifications, and production equipment.
- Ability to work long hours, weekends, and in a factory environment (heat, machinery, flour dust).
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
