Description:
The HR Generalist serves as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors, providing hands-on support across employee relations, benefits, performance management, and leave administration. This role is essential to maintaining a responsive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture.
This position is well-suited for an HR professional who enjoys balancing employee advocacy with organizational accountability.
Reports to: Senior Director of HR & Organizational Development
Travel: Requires travel to satellite offices in Jaffrey and Peterborough
Remote: Opportunities can be available after satisfactorily completing introductory period
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as first-line support for employee relations concerns
- Administer benefits enrollment and employee education
- Coordinate leave management (FMLA, ADA, NH PFML)
- Support performance management and corrective action processes
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities
- Ensure confidential handling of employee information under HIPAA standards
- Provide backup support for recruiting and HR operations
What We’re Looking For
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or 3–5 years of HR generalist experience
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
- Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively across multiple locations
- Understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- SHRM certification preferred
