About this position
Presto Distribution Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our team weekday, day shift at our Nettleton, MS facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance process for a leading distributor of housewares products, National Presto Industries. We are looking for a skilled professional committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, safety, and efficiency in a dynamic distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Conduct inspections on returns and rework lines to identify defects or issues
- Document inspection outcomes accurately, including issues found, rework status, and other quality-related information
- Report inspection findings promptly to relevant teams and management
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to address quality concerns and improve processes
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards
- Sorting and inspection work can include visual inspection, touch point inspection, or use of measuring equipment to determine conformity of a part.
- Develop and / or review departmental documentation including SOP's, test methods, protocols, and material specifications.
- Evaluates returned products and generates quality control reports related to returned products.
- Help with customer complaint investigations and corrective action plans when needed.
- Maintains records and necessary documents for compliance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills
- Ability to accurately document and report inspection results
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus
Physical Demands:
- Frequent bending and lifting and climbing on and off a forklift
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Minimum of 8 hours a day mostly walking and standing

JOB STATUS: Full Time
NORMAL WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.
