Shepherd Village is currently accepting qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Night Registered Nurse (RN). The RN will support the functions of the Nursing Department while working in a long-term care setting.
What You Will Work On
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for directing the Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) and Personal Support Workers (PSW) on the unit, to ensure effective and excellent delivery of care services for residents. As an RN, you will be required to work in an efficient manner covering all floors of our 252-bed long-term care facility, and to demonstrate effective use of resources, equipment, medications, and supplies.

What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Successfully completed a Bachelor of Science- Nursing degree (BScN) from a recognized University, or equivalent
- Demonstrated compliance with nursing standards of practice
- Demonstrated ability to assume nursing responsibilities
- Demonstrated excellent record of attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrated practice habits which are client centered and comply with Shepherd Village policies & MOHLTC standards
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills (supervision, delegation and direction of staff, ability to analyze data, plan actions, and evaluate results)
- Demonstrated record of ongoing professional development
