Description:
Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Records Supervisor at our Kaysville Business Office.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Managing, interviewing, hiring, directing activities, coaching, training, appraising performance, tracking attendance for payroll and disciplining
- Set goals and deadlines for the department
- Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations
- Align the Medical Records and Transcription department with organizational strategies
- Demonstrate leadership and effective communications skills
- Manage monthly reports
- Manage the staff schedule
- Schedule and facilitate records reviews/audits
- Contract with medical records outsourcing services
- Trouble-shoot problems with digital recorders
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from a medical transcriptionist program is preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of medical records /transcription experience
- 2+ years of management experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Equipment Operated:
- Digital/analog transcription equipment with headsets and foot pedals. Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, scanners, telephones, etc.
Work Environment:
- Quiet and comfortable office setting. Position is in well-lighted office environment.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
- Involves sitting approximately 75 percent of the day, walking, or standing the remainder.
