Position Summary
The Lead Water Damage Technician is a key leadership role responsible for managing and working alongside a team of technicians to ensure the successful completion of restoration projects. This is a working lead position, meaning the individual will perform hands-on restoration work while also overseeing day-to-day operations on job sites.
This position ensures that all work is conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Lead Technician is responsible for maintaining a professional image, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Functions
- Supervise and work alongside technicians to complete job projects from start to finish, ensuring all tasks are completed according to plan and within the designated time frame.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, maintaining safety, quality, and a professional image on all job sites.
- Conduct clean, safe, and precise demolition using hand and power tools, ensuring minimal disruption to the property.
- Document drying progress using moisture meters and other equipment to maintain accurate and thorough records.
- Communicate with the In-Home Sales Specialist regarding additional services not captured on the initial job ticket.
- Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites in accordance with state traffic laws and company policies.
- Complete all applicable compliance tasks in DASH daily, ensuring work meets industry and company standards.
- Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure customers receive excellent service and high-quality results.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- 1–2 years of experience in construction, plumbing, water mitigation, carpentry, or related field strongly preferred.
- IICRC certification in water damage or mold remediation preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Compensation
Hourly Pay: Depending on experience
Additional Pay: Bonus opportunities based on performance
