Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor

Reports To:

Director of Maintenance & Security Operations

Basic Function:

Oversees Facilities/Maintenance Department employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all contractors pertaining to lawn maintenance, housekeeping, HVAC, etc. 
  • Assists in all functions of the Facilities/Maintenance Department. 
  • Oversee technician performance by conducting regular check-ins, reviewing workmanship, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and promoting accountability across all maintenance functions.
  • Creates and manages technician work schedules, monitors time records, assigns work orders, and coordinates staffing needs to ensure seamless coverage across all Credit Union facilities.
  • Lead, train, and evaluate new and existing team members on skills, troubleshooting, proper procedures, safety protocols, equipment operation, and Credit Union standards to foster growth and maintain departmental consistency.
  • Leads by example through professionalism, clear communication, and adherence to RRCU values while fostering a positive, team-focused environment built on safety, accountability.
  • Assists in evaluating maintenance staff performance and provides constructive feedback, coaching, and recommendations for development or improvement.
  • Collaborates closely with the Director of Maintenance & Security Operations to communicate team progress, personnel needs, and upcoming project requirements.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily maintenance activities for all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building infrastructure. 
  • Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, secure, and operational condition to support uninterrupted banking and financial operations. 
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, or compliance issues. 
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of building systems and equipment. 
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to protect employees, customers, data, and physical assets. 
  • Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and vendors, ensuring work meets institutional standards, timelines, and security requirements. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes, environmental standards, and internal risk management policies. 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and inventory using work order or facilities management systems. 
  • Monitor and manage maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment; recommend purchases and maintain inventory controls. 
  • Support physical security initiatives by coordinating with security teams on access control systems, alarms, surveillance equipment, and secure areas. 
  • Assist with budget planning, cost control, and expense tracking related to maintenance operations. 
  • Ensure work practices minimize disruption to customers, employees, and critical financial operations. 
  • Participate in facility planning, renovations, and branch upgrades as needed. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years or more of experience of general maintenance with heating and air conditioning systems and general maintenance preferred.
  • 3 years or more of experience as team lead or supervisor preferred
  • Type 2 HVAC certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent. Maintenance certifications preferred.
  • Proficient operation and use of motor vehicles and hand tools.
  • Good communication skills, ability to handle stress of daily deadlines, and to work independently.
  • Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always. 
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.

  • Valid driver’s license and maintain good drivers record.
