FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Neurohospitalist to join our established inpatient neuroscience program at our flagship campus and certified stroke center, Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. This is an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality, team-based neurology in a well-resourced, community-focused hospital environment. Live in a desirable resort destination just one hour away from Raleigh/Durham!



Responsibilities

About the Opportunity:

  • Dedicated inpatient Neurohospitalist role.
  • Desirable block schedule with 45 day shifts per quarter.
  • 8 AM - 6 PM in-house presence. No nights!
  • Two Neurohospitalists on service most shifts, collegial environment.
  • Established intensivist, hospitalist, neurosurgery, and specialty support.
  • Epic EMR system throughout the health system.
  • Integrated healthcare system with advanced diagnostics and subspecialty access.
  • Our stroke program is nationally recognized for excellence, holding DNV Primary Stroke Center Certification as well as multiple American Heart Association Get with The Guidelines® distinctions, including Target: Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll Elite, Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll, and Rural Stroke GOLD.

Qualifications

  • Completion of ACGME- or AOA-approved Neurology residency and board certification are required.
  • Completion of vascular neurology or neurocritical fellowship is optional.
  • Must have clean background, ability to get NC licensure and NC DEA.
  • AHA ACLS certification required.
