DC Blox operates on a hybrid schedule. We work in the office Tuesday - Thursday and remote on Mondays and Fridays.




Description Summary:

The Senior Director of Marketing is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for building and executing an integrated marketing program that drives brand awareness, market engagement, and revenue growth for a leading data center and digital infrastructure platform. This role partners closely with Sales, Product/Project teams, Executive Leadership, and external stakeholders to position the company as a trusted provider to enterprise, hyperscale, and carrier customers.


The ideal candidate brings deep experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, technology, and/or real estate-adjacent industries, with a strong understanding of long sales cycles, complex buying processes, and technical value propositions.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Strategy & Leadership
    • Evolve and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives, expansion markets, and revenue targets
    • Assess market trends and align marketing priorities to business and market opportunities
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, including internal staff and external agencies
    • Develop and refine core marketing processes to support social media, content development, campaigns, field marketing, and video production
  • Brand & Corporate Marketing
    • Drive and support the evolution of the company’s brand identity, messaging, and value proposition across all channels
    • Ensure consistent, differentiated messaging for enterprise, hyperscale, carrier, and partner audiences
    • Oversee corporate communications, PR, thought leadership, awards, and executive visibility
  • Market Engagement & Sales Enablement
    • Design and manage multi-channel market engagement programs supporting customer awareness and acquisition
    • Partner closely with Sales leadership to align campaigns, account-based marketing (ABM), and target customer engagement processes
    • Develop sales enablement tools including pitch decks, case studies, customer success stories, and project collateral
  • Product & Market Positioning
    • Translate complex data center, interconnection, power, and sustainability concepts into compelling customer-centric messaging
    • Lead go-to-market planning for new facilities, expansions, and service offerings
    • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform positioning and engagements strategy
  • Digital, Content & Events
    • Oversee digital marketing, website strategy, SEO/SEM, and marketing automation
    • Lead content strategy including social media, product/project collateral, blogs, webinars, videos, and industry insights
    • Own industry events, trade shows, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and hosted customer & partner meetings
  • Analytics & Performance
    • Define KPIs and dashboards to measure marketing effectiveness, awareness, and engagement
    • Continuously optimize campaigns based on performance data and sales feedback
    • Manage marketing budget, forecasts, and vendor relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education/Training/Experience:

  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience in B2B environments
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and agencies
  • Strong background in data centers and other digital infrastructure (telecommunications, fiber networks, subsea cable ecosystem, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success supporting complex, long-cycle sales organizations
  • Familiarity with data center topics such as power density, cloud/AI infrastructure, sustainability, interconnection, and colocation models
  • Experience with ABM, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and marketing automation platforms
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience marketing to hyperscale, enterprise IT, and/or network buyers
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed or high-growth organizations
