We are seeking an experienced EE / Mule Vehicle Triage Engineer to support our OEM customer in Novi, MI with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and issue resolution on Mule and early prototype vehicles.
This role is time-critical and requires strong hands-on experience with in-vehicle networks, data logging, and triage processes. 


The ideal candidate is highly skilled in vehicle communication networks, the use of Vector tools, and data logging systems, and is able to work independently onsite with the customer.

Qualifications


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of Zonal EE Architectures
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle communication protocols:
    • CAN
    • LIN
    • FlexRay
    • Automotive Ethernet (DoIP)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Vector hardware & tooling (CANoe, CANalyzer)
    • Data loggers including configuration
    • EE troubleshooting and general vehicle diagnostic workflows
  • Ability to manage triage steps independently
  • Fluent in English (technical communication)
  • German language skills are a plus, but not required

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to work independently onsite with the customer
  • Clear and structured communication
  • High resilience under time pressure


 Preferred skills/experience:

  • Experience with VW Group toolchains or commissioning environments
  • Previous work with Mule vehicles or early prototype builds
  • Experience in E/E integration, validation, or commissioning
  • Understanding of flashing, coding, and diagnostic procedures
