Driver's Assistant

We are seeking an individual for the following position:

Delivery Driver Helper/Yard Personnel

1. Load and unload materials from warehouse/yard onto delivery truck and from the delivery truck to job site locations, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
2. Check the quantity and quality of goods on pick/dispatch tickets before delivery to ensure they match the order specifications.
3. Ensure all safety measures are followed while lifting and carrying materials.
4. Provide excellent customer service skills and ensure customer satisfaction upon delivery.
5. Keep track of paperwork required for delivery and return proper paperwork to Ruffin & Payne for billing.
6. Address any issues that arise during the delivery process, such as delays or customer complaints, in a professional manner.
7. The role often requires lifting heavy items and being on the move for extended periods. You must be able to lift 50 pounds, anything over 50 pounds should be done with another team members’ assistance to ensure safety and the materials are not damaged.
8. Assist customers in the yard to pull orders and load onto vehicles.
9. Keep all vehicles, buildings and grounds clean and materials in a neat order and remove debris as needed.

Work hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (occasional overtime may be needed as required)

Pay Range: $16.50 p/hr. - $18.00 p/hr. based on experience/qualifications.
