Title : Food Runner

Reports to: Direct —Assistant Manager / Secondary — General Manager

Overall Responsibilities:

The responsibilities are centered around delivering food correctly to our guest.

Specific Duties:

  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Amici.
  • Warmly and graciously deliver food orders to guest quickly & accurately.
  • Uphold sanitation and food safety practices.
  • Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash.
  • Handle impromptu requests from guests.
  • Relay reports of guest satisfaction to server and management when needed.
  • Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food.
  • Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, or to make conversation.
  • Assist setting up tables before service with utensils, napkins, condiments etc.
  • Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers' concerns are addressed.
  • Inspect expo and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Inform guests of establishment specialties and features.
  • Refill and replenish condiments at expo station.
  • Facilitate proper plating and gamishments.
  • Full hands in and out of the kitchen.
  • Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.
  • Multitask as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
  • Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Job Guidelines & Responsibilities

  • Double check & prepare to-go orders.
  • Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages.

> Posses a high degree of organizational skills.

  • Order or requisition supplies and equipment for tables and serving stations.
  • Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Able to understand and speak using the predominant language of guests.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • Exceptional grooming habits.
