About this position
Summary:
This is a full-time position that provides professional and administrative support to the Accounting Department of Armada. The Billing Specialist ensures the accuracy of monthly invoices while providing timely assistance to the Client Broker Services team in responding to customer questions and requests.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Create all invoices associated with the monthly billing process within Armada’s customized billing program.
- Perform monthly audits of created invoices to identify any potential issues in the generation process.
- Coordinate and participate in the monthly invoice review process following invoice generation, including being responsible for manual adjustments as requested by the Client Broker Services team.
- Communicate with the Client Broker Services team to resolve questions arising from invoice review.
- Transmit all invoices to clients.
- Respond to invoice-related inquiries that are sent to the Accounting team by the Account Managers.
- Work collaboratively with other Accounting personnel with regards to reconciliation matters associated with receivables and customer payments.
- Provide reconciliation of various customer accounts upon request.
- Initiate monthly ACH pulls from customers that are set up for automatic payments.
- Communicate issues with ACH pulls to the Account Managers and works with them to determine if/when a re-pull is appropriate.
- Such other duties or tasks to assist the department or organization as the supervisor may deem necessary.
Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related field preferred; experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience with producing/reviewing invoices associated with a periodic billing process
- Experience with receivables and associated reconciliations
- Experience with various types of billing and financial reporting software
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures preferred
- Must be proficient in MS Excel
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to research, analyze and report data
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to maintain confidentially
- Must be accepting of guidance from others
- Able to work well in a team environment

Salary Information:
In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities.
The wage range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 per year.
Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
