The ATV/Jeep Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and guest-focused operation of the Icy Strait Point ATV/Jeep tours. This role works under the direction of the Director of Excursions for daily tour and operations oversight and collaborates closely with the multiple teams to ensure safety and integrity. The Supervisor recruits, trains, and leads a seasonal crew of approximately 15 operators and leads, ensuring a consistently high level of guest satisfaction, team performance, and safety compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership to the ATV/Jeep team, including Leads and Operators

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate a seasonal team of up to 15 employees

  • Foster a culture of safety, enthusiasm, and professionalism among the team

  • Ensure all ATV/Jeep operations follow Icy Strait Point safety standards and procedures

  • Oversee guest loading, launching, and offloading procedures to ensure an exceptional visitor experience

  • Serve as the point of contact for operational issues, incidents, and escalated guest concerns

  • Monitor team performance and morale, coaching and developing employees to meet high standards

  • Maintain accurate logs and reports, including ride checks, incident reports, and staffing records

  • Collaborate with the Director of Excursions on guest service improvements, staffing needs, and performance metrics

  • Support the coordination of daily tour schedules, capacities, and logistics

  • Assist with other duties as assigned, including cross-training or support for other Excursions team roles

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Must be able to hike uneven terrain

  • Must be comfortable working in outdoor mountain environments, often in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights

  • Flexible schedule required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of leadership experience, preferably in adventure tourism, attractions, or outdoor recreation

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a team

  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to guest service excellence

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in fast-paced or emergency situations

  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)

  • Familiarity with ride operations, mechanical knowledge a plus

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
