FACILITIES AND OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR


Preferred applicant would possess electrical, HVAC, security, heating/plumbing maintenance and sufficient computer skills including knowledge of apps.  



JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Facilities and Operations Supervisor works with the Executive Financial Officer and other members of the Executive team to administer the agency and is primarily responsible for the management of internal agency operations and systems, including but not limited to building and grounds conditions and use, transportation purchases, and maintenance operations.  Writes grants and obtains estimates for facility improvements as needed. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ supervisory and management experience in a community social service agency. 
  • Knowledge of agency operations, facility management and to a lesser degree, program development, community resources and transportation/vehicle oversight.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Obtains contractor bids/estimates to complete work order requests for maintenance, repair or renovation that require more resources than are available in house and will forward estimates to supervisor for approval.  

     

    Works with the Executive Team, as appropriate, to assist with grant writing, complete required documentation at the local, state and federal level in areas including but not limited to Fire Marshall, Dept of Health, DDS, OEC, etc.

     

    Oversees the hiring, onboarding, training, evaluation and oversight of the maintenance department. 

     

    In collaboration with the Building and Grounds Committee of the Board of Directors, oversees the repairs, maintenance and construction at all facilities owned/leased or operated by the agency to ensure a safe and healthy environment

     

    Finds and obtains contracts with outside vendors utilized for facility & equipment maintenance

     

    Attends safety committee meetings to support the HR Department in areas of concern. 

     

    Stays informed on updated maintenance technologies to improve existing systems and makes recommendations to supervisor.

     

    In conjunction with administrative team, coordinates and/or supervises special volunteer projects such as Day of Caring, college and high school group events.

     

    Oversees WHCH site locations to make sure all repairs are completed in a timely manager from the maintenance ledger.

     

    Coordinates with Program Directors to meet all maintenance project needs of their programs. 

     

    On-call for building emergencies and responds when needed.

     

    FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt 


    Monday-Friday 35 hour flexible position

    Salary Information

    $56000.0 - $61000.0 Annual Salary
