 Jaxon is looking for an experienced Project Engineer I to join our Engineering Team.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to support operational oversight of projects, as well as scheduling, purchasing and asset and manpower allocation. The selected candidate will be a team player, while stretching performance standards for themself. Salary: $80,000-95,000


Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance or higher.

Requirements:

Primary Duties

 - Produces accurate and complete schedules for all active and anticipated projects- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards- Coordinates with customers to communicate project status and minimize scope creep- Reviews and delivers all project submittals - Builds and maintains project schedules - Develop/maintain project logs & trackers such as procurement, customer deliverables, RFI’s and change management- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends- Maintains Jaxon’s positive reputation while pursuing excellence- Communicates continuously and effectively with all project stakeholders- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals 


Education Preferred

 - Bachelor’s degree or two years of experience as a project engineer or similar role for a specifically related field such as Commercial/Industrial Construction, DoD contracting, EMP protection or Manufacturing.   


Required Experience

- Understanding of and proficiency with plan reading, specifications, statements of work or request for proposals

- Experience coordinating project teams and schedules

- Proficient with MS Office suite

- Experience using MS Project

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret or higher clearance

- Willingness to be coached and willing to learn new skills in a growing industry
