Position Overview
Kimball Health Services & Clinic is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Information Systems Technician to support our hospital and clinic technology systems. This role is responsible for maintaining hardware, software, networking, telecommunications, and related IT systems to ensure smooth daily operations across the organization.
The Information Systems Technician serves as a frontline resource for staff technology needs, providing timely troubleshooting, system support, and technical solutions in a healthcare environment.
We are willing to train the right individual who is eager to learn and grow in the IT field.
Key Responsibilities
Help Desk Support
- Respond to and prioritize user requests related to hardware, software, networking, and computer systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Log and track service requests in the problem management system
- Coordinate with software and hardware vendors for service and support
Asset Management
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records of IT equipment
- Support evaluation and recommendations of hardware and software purchases
Department & Systems Support
- Install, configure, and perform minor repairs on computers, software, and peripheral equipment
- Assist with management of:
- User accounts
- Microsoft Active Directory
- TCP/IP networks
- Telecommunications systems
- Video conferencing platforms
- Physical access security systems
- Provide rotating weekend and after-hours on-call support as needed
- Serve as backup for other Information Systems staff
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field
OR
Minimum 12 months of related experience and/or training
OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and TCP/IP networks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Web authoring experience preferred
- IT certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are highly desired but not required

Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching

- Rotating on-call support as needed
