JOB TITLE:             FACILITIES, MAINTENCE  & TRANSPERTATION MANAGER

DEPARTMENT:     OPERATIONS

REPORTS TO:        CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

FLSA STATUS:       EXEMPT


FUNCTION: The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all Club facilities, vehicles, and equipment are clean, safe, well-maintained, and fully operational. This role provides leadership to janitorial and transportation staff, oversees day-to-day facility operations, manages vendor relationships, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates hands-on maintenance skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in creating a welcoming, healthy, and safe environment for youth and staff.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: (not all-inclusive)


Leadership

  • Provide direction and supervision to janitorial staff and transportation personnel.
  • Lead efforts to identify and mitigate risks in the Club's physical environments.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment for facilities team members.

Risk Management and Maintenance

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee safe use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, healthy, and emotionally safe environment.
  • Promote and maintain an attractive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Monitor and ensure the upkeep and readiness of vehicles and equipment.

Facilities Maintenance and Repair

  • Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance and routine inspections..
  • Handle minor repairs including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and lock maintenance.
  • Schedule and facilitate annual municipal and/or state inspections to ensure code compliance.
  • Manage special projects including pressure washing and seasonal upkeep.

Facility Resource and Vendor Management

  • Order, track, and stock cleaning supplies and facility resources for all Club locations.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and facility-related supplies.
  • Obtain and assess competitive quotes for major repairs or purchases.
  • Coordinate and supervise approved vendors for specialized repairs and services.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facility management, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience supervising teams or managing staff is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to pass background checks in compliance with organizational and legal standards.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of general building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory inspections.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable using technology for inventory, vendor coordination, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
  • Role involves frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders, and working with tools.

Salary Information

$44000 - $44000 Annual Salary
