Who: EchoPark Automotive is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage accounting operations and financial reporting at our Duluth, GA dealership.
What: Assist the Controller with financial statements, reconciliations, audits, staff supervision, and month-end close activities.
When: Full-time opportunity.

Job Description:
The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in overseeing dealership financials, month-end close, reconciliations, audits, staff supervision, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation and analysis of complete monthly financial statements.

  • Supervise office staff, including receptionists and cashiers.

  • Monitor cash trends and inform Controller of financial needs.

  • Review journal entries; approve inventory, COS, and expense adjustments.

  • Prepare and process insurance and workmen’s comp claims.

  • Coordinate month-end reconciliations and physical inventory.

  • Maintain fixed asset and prepaid accounts, post standard monthly entries.

  • Support internal and external audits; provide requested documentation.

  • Calculate depreciation and maintain accruals for various expenses.

  • Run monthly expense trend reports and provide financial insights.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of automotive accounting management experience.

  • Knowledge of vehicle registration and title work.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Clean motor vehicle and criminal background record.

  • Strong communication, active listening, and professional attitude.

  • Resilient, adaptable, and eager to learn.

  • Strong work ethic and respect for teammates.
