The BHT-House Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe living atmosphere in a sober house environment. Under the supervision of the Restoration Recovery Center management, the BHT-House Manager will assist in client needs and monitor the clients while they are in the program. BHT-House Managers are responsible for documenting activities of daily living and will assist in facilitating the services required for treatment. BHT-House Managers will also assist counselors with crisis management and program activities as needed.


Responsibilities.


This includes but is not limited to:

  • Awake during shift hours – There are two shifts: Swing shift 1:00 pm – 11:30 pm, and NOC shift 11:00 pm – 9:30 am.
  • NOC shift will be responsible for morning wake-up call and transporting clients to the outpatient facility Monday-Friday.
  • Swing shift will be responsible for transporting clients from the outpatient facility, to/from 12-step meetings, store runs, gym, and other activities.

General duties applicable to both shifts include but are not limited to:

  • Breathalyze clients each evening.
  • Monitor the needs and behaviors of clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients.
  • Follow all practices detailed in the company’s Policies and Procedures Manual and Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulations and laws involved in the care of clients and the facility’s license.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep of property.
  • Utilize principles of communicable disease prevention.
  • Recognize early signs of illness, the need for professional assistance and follows through with a report to the Executive Director.
  • Recognizes individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and documents when needed in communication log and/or an Incident report.
  • Responds to emergencies and initiates action accordingly.
  • Discusses significant events involving clients' activities with Clinical Treatment Team.
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and staff training.
  • Ensures compliance with curfew and morning wake-up call.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of sobriety if in recovery.
  • Strong ability to communicate and work effectively.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Experience, knowledge or interest in chemical dependency and knowledge of the 12 steps.
  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, Naloxone certifications.
  • Pass pre-employment screenings.
